Fuyuanhao Residential Compound

Fuyuanhao Residential Compound is a cultural relic protection unit of Sichuan Province.

Fuyuanhao Residential Compound is located in Group 3, Quanba Village, Donghu Town, covering an area of 5,252 square meters. Originally built in the first year of the Jiaqing reign during the Qing Dynasty (1796) by Chen Hongze, an official with the title of Fengzheng Daifu, it was initially named Phoenix Manor. In the 18th year of the Guangxu reign (1892), Chen Fuyuan, a local resident, expanded the estate by adding a new flower hall and renamed it Fuyuanhao. The overall architecture of Fuyuanhao Residential Compound is rectangular in shape, consisting of five major courtyards: the front courtyard, main courtyard, left-side courtyard, right-side courtyard, and the new flower hall. Key structures include the main gate, corridor hall, main hall, wing rooms, flower hall, and opera tower, with a total of 99 rooms and 48 courtyards. The compound features crisscrossing corridors, layered gates, and numerous screen walls, complemented by gardens, ponds, and pavilions, as well as exquisite wood carvings and stone engravings. With its refined architecture and majestic presence, it exemplifies the typical residential style of the mid-Qing Dynasty and is designated as a provincial-level cultural relic protection unit.

Protected Area: Bounded by the existing perimeter wall.

Construction Control Zone: West to 50 meters outside the perimeter wall (facing the Tuo River); east, south, and north sides extend 20 meters beyond the protected area.

Donghu Subdistrict: Donghu Town is located in the suburbs of Fushun County, facing the county seat across the river, and is connected to the urban area via two major bridges — Hongqi Bridge and Chengguang Bridge. The town covers a total area of 64.14 square kilometers, governs 33 village (residential) committees, and has a total population of 60,400, including 10,700 urban residents. The current arable land area is 30,200 mu, with per capita arable land of 0.54 mu.

Donghu Town serves as a transportation hub for the county seat, where the Denglong, Lufu, Dongniu, Donghuang, and Dongfu highways intersect.
