Stroll along the Youcaoba Aqueduct, locally known as the “Sky Bridge.” Standing on the bridge offers a panoramic view of the entire Youcaoba area. Built in the 1970s, the bridge stretches 600 meters in length and stands 53 meters high. It was entirely constructed by manual labor back then, and the hardships endured during its creation are truly moving.

Walking uphill from the fish ponds of Youcaoba and passing through thick bamboo groves, the majestic Sky Bridge gradually comes into view. After pushing through reeds taller than a person, you’ll finally see the entrance to the bridge.

Climbing onto the bridge, a gentle breeze brushes your face while yellowing maple leaves slowly drift down with the wind, bringing a flood of memories to mind...

Standing atop the bridge, all the beautiful scenery of Youcaoba unfolds before your eyes. In the distance, smoke rises from chimneys, and winding roads and rivers stretch out like jade ribbons. Surrounded by continuous mountain ranges, flocks of pigeons fly past, creating a series of stunning vistas.

Due to the bridge’s high and steep location, and the lack of safety barriers, adults strictly forbade children from playing on it. Yet, kids would often sneak up there without telling their parents, climbing onto the bridge to play — some even daring to ride bicycles on it.

The bridge not only brought convenience but also became a favorite spot for locals because of its breathtaking views. Whenever they returned home, they would inevitably gather a few friends to climb up here and take in the scenery.

This magnificent bridge is a testament to the hard work and sweat of its builders, and a crystallization of the wisdom of the laboring people. It’s where countless dreams began and where many hearts remain. It holds memories and youth that simply refuse to fade away.
