Anxi Catholic Church is located in Anxi Community. Built during the Guangxu period of the Qing Dynasty, the building covers an area of 760 square meters. The structure is made of brick and wood, and consists of a gatehouse, entrance hall, front and rear wing rooms, the church itself, and a courtyard. The gatehouse features a hip-and-gable roof, with a cross design molded on the main ridge, and the Chinese characters for “Catholic” molded inside a rectangular plaque above the main gate. The gatehouse opens onto a flat courtyard, flanked by a single two-bay wing room on each side. In the middle of the courtyard stands the entrance hall, which has a flush-gable roof and a post-and-lintel structure, covered with small blue tiles, and a mud-plastered cross motif on the roof ridge. Behind the hall lies the church, topped with a flush-gable roof and also covered with small blue tiles. Passageways on either side of the entrance hall lead to the courtyard, which is bordered by two additional wing rooms. The entire complex is compactly laid out, neatly constructed, and styled in a simple yet solemn manner. As one of the earlier Catholic churches in the county, it holds significant historical and cultural value, and is now a protected county-level cultural heritage site.
