Protecting the Southeast Stone Carving is located in Lime Creek, Pu'an Village, and was carved in the ninth year of the Guangxu reign during the Qing Dynasty (1883). The carving features four large characters, "Protecting the Southeast" (保障东南), horizontally inscribed in intaglio script by Bao Ruxie from Nanxi. On the right side, smaller characters in an inscription describe the historical event of local landlord militias suppressing the peasant uprising led by Li Yonghe and Lan Chaoding during the Xianfeng reign of the Qing Dynasty. As Lime Creek is situated to the southeast of the county, the carving was titled "Protecting the Southeast." It is now a municipal-level cultural relic protection unit.
