In the Peacock King Cave of the Northern Mountain Buddhist Bay in Dazu, Chongqing, the thousand Buddhas on the wall shine brilliantly alongside the Peacock King, creating a vibrant atmosphere. The peacock’s back screen bears an inscription recording the work of the sculptor from the Fu family, who produced Buddhist statues for generations and left behind numerous relics.
