Dazu Hardware Museum

The Dazu Hardware Museum is a national AA-level tourist attraction.

The China Dazu Hardware Museum is located on the ground floor of the Western Chongqing International Convention and Exhibition Center, adjacent to the Dazu Longshui Hardware Technology Park. Through physical objects, documents, images, models, multimedia, and other means, the museum comprehensively showcases the historical development of human hardware, Chinese hardware, and Dazu hardware. It also illustrates the relationship between hardware and daily life, and between hardware and human civilization. Over 20 valuable historical documents, more than 200 exquisite images, over 500 typical bronze artifacts from China’s Shang to Han dynasties, and representative hardware items from Dazu’s flourishing period since the Tang Dynasty to the present day, all detail the evolution of human understanding of metal materials from the late Neolithic period to the modern development of hardware, as well as Dazu hardware’s influence on the world.

The museum integrates history, modernity, knowledge, and entertainment, allowing visitors to appreciate the long-standing heritage and profound richness of Chinese hardware, as well as the brilliance and vitality of Dazu hardware. It holds significant academic research value and educational significance for science popularization. The museum has now become a science education base in Chongqing and an educational base for youth in Dazu District. Since its opening, it has attracted a large number of visitors for sightseeing.
