Yajiao Mountain is about 15 kilometers from the county town and sits at an elevation of 1,066 meters. To get there from the county town, you can take a vehicle to Zhongzuizhai, then hike up the mountain path for about an hour to reach the summit. The mountain path from Zhongzuizhai to Yajiao Mountain still retains its ancient appearance — an old stone-paved trail, some worn and some broken, with each stone slab marked by the passage of time and the footprints of those who came before. The long mountain path winds through a dense pine forest.

At the mountaintop saddle of Yajiao Mountain lies a clear pond. Standing on the dam of the pond, you can feel the refreshing mountain breeze. The water in the pond is deep and emerald green, like a green mirror embedded among the surrounding peaks.

The dam of the pond serves as an observation deck. On a clear day, you can overlook the entire county town from here; after rain, when the sky clears, you may also witness the spectacular sea of clouds churning in ever-changing forms.

Surrounded by rolling mountains, Yajiao Mountain stands out like a solitary green jewel. The encircling peaks resemble nine dragons, creating the impression of nine dragons vying for a precious pearl.

Yajiao Mountain boasts lush vegetation and dense, shady greenery. In spring, visitors can admire a variety of colorful wildflowers; in autumn, they can enjoy the beauty of leaves in reds and yellows. In the woods, you can forage for seasonal delights such as September Fragrance mushrooms, pine needle mushrooms, and fiddlehead ferns — all premium green foods that will delight your palate. Amidst the verdant surroundings of Yajiao Mountain, listening to birds chirping and the rustling of pine waves is truly a feast for the senses.
