Nestled at the foot of the vast Jinghua Mountain and by the serene Changshou Lake lies a picturesque mountain village. It earned its name when a Qing Dynasty official from the Ministry of Punishments resigned from his post, returned to his hometown, demolished a dilapidated temple, and built a street.

Baijia Township is a unique eco-tourism area in Chongqing that integrates mountains, water, and islands. It is also a major base for citrus, watermelon, and freshwater aquaculture, and is known as the “Hometown of Lakes and Islands.”

Covering an area of 58 square kilometers, Baijia Township boasts picturesque lakes and mountains, unique ancient fortresses, and rich cultural heritage. It is not only an ideal destination for leisure, sightseeing, and exploration but also a promising site for business opportunities and investment.

Leveraging its exceptional ecological and geographical advantages, the Baijia Township Party Committee and government have comprehensively developed the area, presenting a stunning landscape to the world. Its main attractions include: “lake and mountain scenery, ancient fortresses, and cultural sites”; its distinctive features: a blend of majestic mountains and crystal-clear waters, a fusion of fruits, melons, and legumes, a gathering of lush forests and winding paths, and a repository of ancient fortress culture; its vision: to construct 43 cultural landscapes such as pavilions, towers, terraces, and galleries while ensuring no damage to natural scenery; to build and expand over 180 kilometers of roads, including first-, second-, and third-tier walking paths, and establish 16 parking lots; to develop 4 cable car stations, 3 water docks, 13 farm stays, 6 teahouses, and 5 star-rated resorts; to create 3 natural bathing beaches, 1 water light show area, and 1 dragon boat racing zone; to build 3 medical clinics, 22 public toilets, 3 waste transfer stations, 17 fire safety facilities, 14 land and water security posts, and 7 power substations to meet the diverse needs of visitors. All operating units and vendors within the scenic area are subject to unified management to eliminate fraudulent practices, ensuring visitors can shop and dine with confidence and satisfaction.
