Chongqing Western Botanical Garden
The Chongqing Western Botanical Garden was invested in and constructed by the state-owned nursery of Rongchang County, Chongqing, and approved for establishment as a municipal-level comprehensive botanical garden by the Chongqing Forestry Bureau. Established in 1998, it covers an area of 2,600 acres, with an investment of 10 million yuan. The Chongqing Western Botanical Garden is located on the golden tourist route between the Dazu Rock Carvings and the Chongqing Wildlife Park, enjoying a rich source of visitors. In 2002, it received 110,000 visitors. Currently, there are no other botanical gardens in the western, eastern, or southern regions of Chongqing and Sichuan. Coupled with its superior geographical location and highly convenient transportation, the Chongqing Western Botanical Garden has very broad development prospects.
