Ancient Changzhou

Ancient Changzhou is a national AAA-level tourist attraction and a cultural tourism destination.

Ancient Changzhou is located on the Laixi River in Rongchang and recreates the historical and cultural charm of Rongchang. It is an "ancient street with Ming and Qing architectural style" that integrates eco-tourism, scenic corridors, historical culture, regional cuisine, and courtyard-style hotels. Backed by Haitang Park, it is made up of nineteen distinctive quadrangle courtyards, bringing back the prosperity of ancient Changzhou described as “nine palaces, eighteen halls, and thirty-seven hundred pedestals.” Facing the Laixi River, the area boasts crystal-clear jade-like waters surrounded by green grass and trees. Spanning the river are two ancient stone arch bridges built during the Ming Dynasty — Guanyin Bridge and Xiaotan Bridge — quietly resting along the water. Strolling here feels like “walking through a scene, as if traveling within a painting,” full of poetic charm.
