The Rongfeng River Water Conservancy Scenic Area is a national water conservancy scenic area.

The Rongfeng River Water Conservancy Scenic Area in Rongchang primarily encompasses three major water bodies within Rongchang District: the Rongfeng River, the Dongfanghong Reservoir, and the Fenggao River. The planned total area of the scenic zone is approximately 5 square kilometers, of which the three core scenic areas cover about 3.2 square kilometers, and the water surface area is around 1.15 square kilometers. It is classified as an urban river-lake type water conservancy scenic area.

The development of the Rongfeng River Water Conservancy Scenic Area primarily aims to meet flood control standards and improve the ecological environment. With the goals of enhancing flood prevention capacity, protecting natural ecological resources, improving the ecological environment, elevating the city’s image, promoting local culture, developing tourism resources, and enriching the cultural life of residents, it is a comprehensive water conservancy scenic area integrating water-friendly activities, leisure, sightseeing, sports, science education, education, commerce, and vacation. It consists of five zones: the National Treasure Pig Culture Exhibition Area, the Rongchang Historical and Cultural Exhibition Area, the Rongfeng River ADB Eco-Leisure Zone, the East Lake Wetland Crabapple Culture Leisure Area, and the Fenggao River Ecological Conservation Area. The scenic river stretches over 13 kilometers, flowing through various land types such as urban areas, parks, and farmland, creating a long scroll-like landscape where each section boasts its own unique charm—realizing a harmonious and symbiotic urban water ecological living environment where “green hills and clear waters, blue water and blue skies, water in the city, city in the green, and people in the scenery” coexist.
