Hezhen True Origin Church is a Chongqing Municipal Cultural Heritage Protection Unit.

Hezhen True Origin Church is located in Jingtang Village, Hecao Town, Rongchang District, dating back to 1905–1913.

In 2019, Hezhen True Origin Church was designated as part of the third batch of Chongqing Municipal Cultural Heritage Protection Units by the Chongqing Municipal People's Government.

Hecao Town: A town under the jurisdiction of Rongchang County. Established as Hecao Township in 1950, reorganized as a commune in 1958, reinstated as a township in 1984, and upgraded to a town in 1990. It is located in the northern part of the county, 18.2 kilometers from the county seat. The town covers an area of 69 square kilometers with a population of 43,000. It administers 33 villages including Tudi, Hetao, Dashih, Shimǎ, Hanwang, Jinniu, Lüjiayan, Zhuanlong, Qinglong, Haiyue, Huangtan, Jingtang, Sankebei, Gaochong, Yueguang, Caozi, Changwu, Fahua, Huilong, Shizi, Guanyinge, Baichang, Anlong, Mituo, Tian'gong, Baiyang, Xiaowan, Leitai, Liangjiapo, Desheng, Longtan, Daxing, and Yongxing.
