Bengxi River

Bengxi River is located along the "8-Hour Chongqing" highway between Miaoba and Luojiang Township. Just over a hundred meters into the canyon, you’ll see the Longdong Waterfall cascading down from the cliff on the east bank, its roar echoing through the valley. The waterfall spans the stream and river, sending up fine mists and bringing a refreshing cool breeze. Venturing further along the creek, the approximately 16-kilometer-long valley alternates between wide and narrow sections—wide spots dotted with farmhouses and rising wisps of cooking smoke, and narrow sections where the stream babbles and emerald cliffs rise. Scenic spots scattered throughout include One-Line Sky, Long Beach, Big Rock Cave, Doudi Liang Waterfall, and White Horse Cave. The valley floor is lush with green grass, moss clings to the rock walls, wildflowers bloom in vivid competition, eagles soar overhead, fish glide beneath the surface, and deer, antelope, rabbits, and other wildlife appear and vanish. A leisurely walk here refreshes both body and mind.
