It was invested in, renovated, and decorated to international three-star standards by Chongqing New City Development and Construction Co., Ltd., and is comprehensively managed by Chongqing Shangbang Days Hotel Management Co., Ltd. The hotel is located in the central area of the Qiaokouba Hot Spring Resort Scenic Area in Banan District, nestled by the picturesque Meixi River flanked by lush bamboo on both banks, and faces the Xiangbi Mountain Forest Park. The scenic area enjoys convenient transportation, being 15 km from the Banan District Government, 35 km from downtown Chongqing, 30 km from Shengdeng Mountain National Forest Park, and 15 km from the Anlan Egret Nature Reserve. Visitors can reach the hotel by bus via the Yu’nan Avenue and the Yuhu Intersection, or by car via the Yuqian Expressway through Yipin.

The hot spring water at Chongqing Shangbang Hot Spring (Yangtze Hot Spring) is stored in karst fissure aquifers of Lower Triassic Jialingjiang Formation limestone and dolomite, as well as Middle Triassic Leikoupo Formation dolomite and dolomitic limestone. The water temperature ranges from 40–42°C, and the water is of the SO4-Ca.Mg type, rich in metasilicic acid and beneficial trace elements such as fluoride, strontium, zinc, and selenium. Known as "anti-aging water" and "height-boosting water," it is also referred to as "natural herbal soup"—a highly therapeutic type of hot spring. Locals praise it as the "Second Huaqing Pool." At Shangbang Hot Spring, cold and hot springs coexist—a phenomenon acclaimed as the “Number One Wonder of China.” The hotel makes extensive use of local specialty ingredients, primarily offering refined Jianghu (rivers-and-lakes) cuisine. Its restaurant can accommodate up to 300 diners, making it an ideal venue for group celebration banquets and high-end wedding or birthday banquets. The hotel has 65 various types of vacation guest rooms with a total of 123 beds.
