Yunzhuan Mountain is a national AAA-level tourist attraction.

The Yunzhuan Mountain Tourist Scenic Area is located in Yudong, Banan District, within the main urban area of Chongqing. It is one of the forest parks in the overall plan of Chongqing, situated 28 kilometers from downtown's Jiefangbei and 7 kilometers from Yudong urban area, at an altitude of 650 meters. It is one of the old “Twelve Scenic Spots of Bayu” and the new “Eight Scenic Spots of Banan.” The scenic area boasts abundant and distinctive tourism resources.

Located by the Yangtze River, Yunzhuan Mountain has long been praised as “Mighty are the surging waters of the Yangtze, towering stands the majestic Yunzhuan Mountain.” The renowned Ming Dynasty statesman and strategist Liu Bowen once highly commended the mountain, saying, “When chaos reigns across the land, this place remains at peace; when drought parches the world, this place enjoys half a harvest.”

Shaped like a pagoda and standing with impressive grandeur, Yunzhuan Mountain consists of nine forts and thirteen bends. Viewed from afar, it resembles a sleeping Buddha gazing at the moon; up close, it looks like a colossal pillar reaching the sky. The mountain features perilous yet fascinating terrain. There are over 20 natural landscapes including Yunzhuan Pine Forest, Yunshan Lake, Changqing Water, and Ox Tongue, where dense forests stretch high, blocking out the sun, and crystal-clear lakes ripple with azure waves. Historical and cultural sites such as the Mountain Village Gate, Yunzhuan Temple, Old Courtyard Wood Carvings, Qingfeng Tower, Arhat Well, Wenchang Palace, and Baolian Temple also dot the landscape, rich in history and enduring legacy.

Leveraging the area’s rich tourism resources and excellent location, leisure and vacation facilities such as Zhiquing Manor, Yunhu Guiyuan, Garden Manor, Linhai Manor, and Dadi Manor have been invested in, built, and opened to the public, accommodating up to 2,000 visitors for leisure stays. Once completed, projects like the Yunzhuan Mountain Cloud-Stepping Stairs and the Educated Youth Culture Exhibition Hall will further enrich the cultural and tourism experience at Yunzhuan Mountain.
