Tianping Mountain Yunlin Tianxiang Scenic Area

The Tianping Mountain Yunlin Tianxiang Scenic Area is a national AAA-level tourist attraction.

The Tianping Mountain Yunlin Tianxiang Scenic Area enjoys a superior geographical location, around 50 kilometers from the city center, at an altitude of 500–700 meters, and spans approximately 3.73 square kilometers. It is abundant in tourism resources, mainly consisting of farmland, forests, and natural villages. The air maintains a negative oxygen concentration of Level 2 or higher throughout the year, positioning it as a rural sightseeing destination rooted in agricultural development.

To comprehensively enhance the quality and grade of the Yunlin Tianxiang Scenic Area and accelerate the rapid development of its tourism economy, our district initiated the creation of a 3A-level scenic area in 2014. During this process, we continuously improved service facilities, investing a total of 150 million yuan in construction funds to carry out comprehensive maintenance, enhancement, and upgrades of the scenic area’s infrastructure. Through persistent efforts in development, strengthened management, and conservation, the scenic area has rapidly increased in both fame and reputation, significantly boosting its market influence and greatly promoting the tourism economic growth of Banan. By December 2014, the scenic area had cumulatively received 1.006 million visitors, a year-on-year increase of 235%, and achieved a total tourism revenue of 60 million yuan, up 199% year-on-year, demonstrating an extremely promising momentum of development.

The successful establishment of the Tianping Mountain Yunlin Tianxiang 3A-level scenic area has been a great boost to our district’s A-level scenic spot creation efforts, further strengthening the confidence of other local scenic areas in pursuing A-level status. In 2015, our district will continue to advance the A-level creation work, adding new highlights to Banan’s tourism industry.
