Nanli Lake is situated in the central part of Ding’an County, Hainan Province, adjacent to a highway on its eastern side. It lies just 50 kilometers from Haikou City, Hainan, making it easily accessible.

Approved for development by the Hainan Provincial Government, Nanli Lake has been designated as a provincial-level scenic area. It covers a total area of 46 square kilometers, including a lake area of 26 square kilometers, a water surface of 12.3 square kilometers, an average depth of 12 meters, and a consistent annual water temperature of 22–23°C. It is the largest artificial freshwater lake in northern Hainan. The area enjoys a pleasant climate with an average annual temperature ranging from 22.5 to 23.7°C.

The lake remains clear year-round with gentle waves rippling across its surface. Fish swim close to the shore while birds soar in the blue sky. Lush greenery lines the lakeside, accompanied by refreshing breezes. There are 18 islands and peninsulas scattered gracefully throughout the lake, creating a more picturesque landscape than even West Lake or Sun Moon Lake. To implement the overall development plan for Nanli Lake, the Ding’an County Government of Hainan has invested over 100 million yuan in infrastructure construction.

Infrastructure projects such as water supply, electricity, telecommunications, and transportation have been completed. Both the soft and hard conditions for investment and development have been fully improved. As a result, investors are flocking to the area, and numerous tourism, resort, cultural education, and technical training projects have been established within the development zone.

A number of facilities, including Taijian Golf Course, Hongyang Fishing Club, Huaxing Villas, Leisure Center, Ostrich Farm, Xinle Deer Farm, Chaozhiyang Boarding School, and Lihu Shuizhuang, have been completed and opened for business. The Nanli Lake Scenic Area has taken initial shape, making it a prime spot for investors and developers, as well as a wonderful destination for tourists and holidaymakers.
