Nongken Wanjia Fruit Farm (Hainan Nongken Wanjia Tropical Botanical Garden)

Nongken Wanjia Fruit Farm was established in 1999 when Hainan Jinding Industrial Development Co., Ltd. leased land from Hongguang Farm and relocated from Haikou, the provincial capital, to cultivate tropical fruits and engage in agricultural development. Over the past five years of growth, Wanjia Fruit has become a well-known brand in Hainan. Its range of tropical fruit products enjoys high recognition in major cities across China, including Beijing, and is popular among consumers. To accelerate the development of Wanjia Fruit and establish it as a leading enterprise driving the agricultural progress of both Hainan Nongken and the entire province, the Hainan Nongken Administration provided full support. Starting in 2005, Wanjia Fruit opened its third production base at Nanhai Farm, located beside the Eastern Expressway. Currently, the first phase of construction on a 500-acre site is underway, with some facilities already open to visitors. The Nongken People's Hotel, which can accommodate 600 diners simultaneously, is under renovation. The final planned scale of the Nanhai Base will span 3,000 to 5,000 acres, with total investment reaching 50 million yuan. Once completed, the Nanhai Base will serve as a hub integrating leisure, sightseeing, agricultural product processing and trade, and showcasing Hainan’s agriculture. Wanjia Fruit will also evolve from a pure planting business into a comprehensive agro-trade-tourism-processing-sales enterprise group.
