Gaocao Chanlin Temple is a cultural tourism attraction.

Gaocao Chanlin Temple is located one kilometer north of Xishan Yao Ethnic Township and was built during the Qing Dynasty. It was destroyed during the "Cultural Revolution." After 1978, former monks and benevolent individuals from various regions pooled funds to rebuild the temple, restoring religious activities. It is now the largest Buddhist temple in the county. On the lunar calendar dates of the 19th of February ("Guanyin's Birthday"), the 19th of June ("Guanyin's Enlightenment"), and the 19th of September ("Guanyin's Lotus Throne"), these three major festivals attract thousands of worshippers who come to pray and celebrate, as well as many tourists who visit for sightseeing. The strong religious atmosphere enhances the devotion of believers and also enriches the experience of visitors.
