The Yijiang River stretches 85 kilometers in total. In the upper reaches, the river has a steep drop and abundant hydropower resources, with a potential capacity of 60,000 kilowatts. Water cascades down from the mountains and rocks, forming twelve rapids. These rapids feature winding, steep paths that are thrilling yet safe, with the water displaying a grand and magnificent momentum. This area is also ideal for developing hydroelectric power stations as well as tourism activities such as rafting. The middle and lower reaches of the river are broad and flat. The water flows gently. The water quality is clear and unpolluted, making it an excellent location for aquaculture. In the lower reaches, water and islands are interconnected. Wild birds gather here, and nearby you can enjoy the fragrance of flowers and the sounds of birds while seeing the reflections of people along the shore. In the distance, layered mountain ranges unfold. The residential buildings along both banks of the river still retain the architectural style of the Republican era. This area is the hometown of Li Zongren, the acting president of the Nationalist Government—Liangjiang. To develop the historical and cultural heritage as well as tourism culture of Lingui, the Lingui County Government is planning to attract investment to build a Guilin Liangjiang Republican-era Film and Television City, covering an area of over 3,000 acres. It will be used to film the large-scale Republican-era TV series *The Legend of the Guangxi Clique* (two parts, 40 episodes total), co-created by the renowned national writer Huang Jishu and the famous Chinese director Chen Jialin, as well as *The Republican Turbulence Trilogy* (three parts, 60 episodes total).
