Shuixian Rock

Shuixian Rock is situated on Dawei Mountain, approximately 2 kilometers southeast of the county town. Over the years, it has been a hiding place for locals during wartime, which is why it is also called Paobing Rock (Refuge Rock). There are eight caves in the mountain, differing in size but all interconnected. The main cave, Shuixian Rock, extends 1,812 meters from south to north, reaches a maximum width of 30 meters, and covers a floor area of 20,500 square meters. The cave is filled with grotesque rocks and stalactites in a myriad of shapes. Additionally, there is an underground stream exposed at the surface, with crystal-clear blue-green water. Spanning 1,000 meters in length and 2–3 meters in width, this underground river is navigable by boat for sightseeing. The mountain is also home to the rare and protected tree species, Pinus tabuliformis var. mukdensis (Yellow Branch Oil Pine), a nationally protected endangered plant. About 10

0 meters away lies a cave covered in small, bead-like stalactites, resembling pearls, hence its name Pearl Cave. Outside the cave, peaks, clouds, mountain scenery, and shimmering waters create a stunning landscape—a scenic site yet to be fully developed.
