Nabian Reservoir (Jinyin Lake)

Nabian Reservoir (Jinyin Lake) is located about 4 kilometers southeast of Shangsi County. Built in September 1960, it has a total storage capacity of 720 million cubic meters, with the normal water surface area of the reservoir covering approximately 4,350 mu. The stretch from the dam site to Pingjiang Farm is 25 kilometers long, featuring waters that alternate between wide and narrow, winding and meandering through picturesque landscapes of green hills and clear waters. Five kilometers from the dam site, on the southwestern side, stands the verdant and scenic Duxiu Mountain, with a single peak rising abruptly, sharp as a writing brush. It is described as “reaching thousands of feet towards the sky, a solitary point towering above the clouds,” making it a unique scenic wonder within the reservoir area. Taking a boat ride on the sparkling artificial lake, you can gaze at the soaring Shiwang Mountain peaks in the distance and admire the lush pine forests along the shore up close. The interplay of lake and mountain scenery creates a truly distinctive world.
