The Jiulongtan Drifting Scenic Area is located within the Shiwandashan Scenic Area in Shangsi County, Fangchenggang City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. It is 220 kilometers from Nanning, 78 kilometers from Fangchenggang, and 39 kilometers from Dongxing. Nearby attractions include Taohuaxi Mountain Villa, Lihuo Border Trade Port, Ma'anshan Viewing Platform, and Dongzhong Hot Springs.

The drifting course spans 5 kilometers, with towering cliffs on both sides. The river flows gently in some sections and swiftly in others, featuring a natural elevation drop of over 180 meters. Drifting downstream in an inflatable raft is an exhilarating experience. The canyon is majestic and spectacular, with rugged rocks, lush vegetation, and a perpetual misty ambiance, giving it a unique charm. Among the peaks and forests on both banks, peculiar stones stand densely, while orchards fill the air with fragrance. Sunlight and clouds dance across the landscape, creating an atmosphere full of passion and romance. Along the Jiulongtan drifting route, there are more than 10 rapids, over 20 pools, and around 30 bends. With winding paths and shifting scenery, this section stands out as the most thrilling and exciting part of the canyon.

The scenic area’s drifting operates through staged water releases, with a dam at the starting point. There are three drifting sessions per day, scheduled at 10:00 AM, 2:00 PM, and 4:00 PM. The entire drifting experience takes approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. The entire course uses rubber rafts, and since the river has been artificially modified, paddling is not required midway.
