Rongzhou Republic of China Town is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction and a cultural tourism site.

Rongzhou Republic of China Town is Guangxi’s first comprehensive cultural, commercial, and tourism industry ecosystem experience zone. Built around the ambiance of the Republican era, it integrates culture, tourism, entertainment, leisure, vacation, and shopping into a new lifestyle commercial district.

Yulin Zhenwu Pavilion

Rongzhou Republic of China Town undoubtedly offers a visual feast that spans a century, and its content naturally revolves around Rong County during the Republican period.

At the entrance of the town stands a landscape featuring an old steam locomotive, with a long stretch of railway extending from the entrance all the way to the other end of the town. Traveling by train becomes a slow tourism experience in the town. Can you imagine what railways and trains were like two or three decades ago? This landscape was created based on the historical memory of Guangxi’s first railway, built by Rong County native Liao Baifang in 1935, and the steam locomotive he purchased from Germany. It recreates a century of Guangxi’s railway history right here.

The highlight of the town at night is the moving Paramount stage along the railway. As the stage slowly moves, popular music from the 1920s and 1930s such as "Green Island Serenade," "Jasmine Flower," and "Night Shanghai" drift through the night sky of the town. Coupled with advanced stage effects and lighting technology, modern fashion elements are integrated into traditional culture, aligning with contemporary aesthetic tastes. With its grand momentum and vibrant colors, it recreates the prosperity of the Republican era, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in beautiful sounds, sights, and music while enjoying the cultural atmosphere and charm of the Republic period.

The Eight Marshals’ Mansions, named after eight marshals from Rong County during the Republican era, are: the Huang Shaohong Mansion, the Huang Xuchu Mansion, the Xia Wei Mansion, the Ye Qi Mansion, the He Zhuguo Mansion, the Gan Lichu Mansion, the Luo Qi Mansion, and the Wei Yunsong Mansion.

These Sino-Western style buildings will be developed into “Marshals’ Private Dining Restaurants,” where local and Republican-era cuisines will be served. They complement the bustling streets, lined with stalls and teeming with traffic, featuring opera performances, acrobatics, snacks, and more—a vibrant urban scene reminiscent of a Republican-era version of Rong County’s “Along the River During the Qingming Festival.” A century later, its elegance, poise, and refined charm are once again presented to the public.

The Marshals’ Museum shifts the scene from the bustling streets to the chaos of war and battles on the battlefield. Life-sized sculptures seamlessly blend with background effects, and a wealth of light and electronic special effects are integrated with the set design, turning the exhibition hall into a realistic and highly impactful war scene. The interplay of illusion and reality, tradition and modernity, depicts the Republican-era soldiers of Rong County defending their homeland and safeguarding peace. The Republican-era historical culture of Rong County is preserved here, leaving visitors in awe.

The Republic of China Town also features eight marshal-themed train carriages, planned to house specialty themed dining, creative leisure restaurants, casual bars, cafes, water bars, and other formats. Connected with Zhenwu Pavilion and Duqiu Mountain scenic areas, it exerts strong influence and reach across the entire Rongzhou area. Leveraging the cultural and industrial foundation of Nanzheng Black Sesame, it establishes a development chain linking culture, commerce, and tourism. This includes two cultural museums, three cultural zones, four major commercial formats, as well as interactions with industrial brands and a signature city new commercial life circle centered around specialty cuisine.
