Licun Hot Spring

Located in Wenquan Village, Licun Town, Licun Hot Spring is 2.5 kilometers from Licun Town and 45 kilometers from Rongxian County. It is commonly known as "Hot Water Fortress." As a scenic spot in Rongxian, it was one of the ancient "Eight Scenic Spots of Rongzhou." The hot spring area covers 105 acres and features large reserves, high temperatures (with an annual average of 72°C), shallow depth, and ease of development. According to exploration by the 307 Brigade of the Central-South Geological Survey Bureau under the Ministry of Nuclear Industry, the hot spring is primarily geothermal, with hot water emerging from deep bedrock more than 5 meters below the surface. The spring outlets mainly discharge saturated hot water. There are currently seven springs, each with varying water temperatures. The cooler ones are suitable for regular hot spring bathing, while the hottest can reach up to 90°C, making it one of the hottest springs in Guangxi. Among them, two main springs have a daily flow rate of 800 cubic meters, yielding over 1,600 cubic meters of water per day. Tests have shown that the hot spring is rich in over ten essential elements and inorganic salts needed for human metabolism, such as sulfur, zinc, copper, iron, and manganese. It offers excellent therapeutic and health benefits, and is effective in preventing and treating conditions such as skin diseases and arthritis.
