The Wei Yun-song Villa is located within the Songshan Town Government compound in Rong County, facing west. Originally built in 1930, it is a courtyard-style architectural complex that blends Chinese and Western elements, consisting of front and rear buildings along with left and right connecting corridors. The front building features an integrated layout of a gatehouse, bungalow, and watchtower, with the main structure being a two-story building topped with a four-sloped roof. The rear building is also a two-story building with a four-sloped roof. The side rooms in front have walls built in a semi-hexagonal shape. There is a courtyard between the front and rear buildings, planted with valuable flowers and trees such as longan, orange jasmine, michelia, and night-blooming cereus, creating an elegant overall environment.

Wei Yun-song (1889–1950), styled Shidong and also known as Yunpu, was a native of Rong County. He graduated from the Engineering Department of the Army Military Academy and once served in the Tiannan Garrison Army. In 1922, he joined Li Zongren’s Autonomous Army, serving as a battalion commander of the Third Detachment. Later, he held positions as battalion and regiment commander in the Dinggui Army and the Dazie Army, participating in campaigns against Lu Rongting and Shen Hongying. In 1926, he was appointed as the brigade commander of the Sixth Brigade of the National Revolutionary Army’s Seventh Army and concurrently served as the director-general of the Rong (County)–Cang (wu) Highway Bureau, taking part in the Northern Expedition. From 1927 to 1928, he successively served as deputy commander of the Second Division of the Fifteenth Army and acting commander of the Second Division of the Thirteenth Army...
