Lodge Rock is located at No. 195, Beimen Street, Rongcheng Town, Rong County, about a 10-minute drive from Huang Xuchu’s Villa. The building faces east and was constructed with its back to the west. It is now largely well-preserved. The structure is 16.5 meters wide and 14.1 meters deep, with magnolia trees and other plants and flowers growing in the courtyard. There is a row of single-story buildings to the northwest, surrounded by walls, with the eastern side facing the street. Approximately 100 meters to the northeast lies the office building of the Rong County Armed Forces Department.

Lodge Rock is a two-story Western-style building constructed with brick and wood. It has a square floor plan, with three bays in width and two bays in depth. The central bay on the ground floor features a semi-hexagonal front section. The entire building is constructed with blue bricks up to the roof, topped with small gray tiles and ridges made of lime sand. The windows are vertically rectangular, and all window tops are molded into arched shapes using lime plaster, alternating between blue and white for an elegant and clean color scheme. The second-floor flooring is made of wooden planks, and the ceiling on the top floor is also constructed from nailed wooden strips. The ceilings under the gables on the west, south, and north sides are formed into a grid pattern with wooden strips, giving it a unique style. In addition to featuring elements of traditional Chinese residential architecture, the villa also incorporates aspects of Western architectural art. It serves as an important physical historical material for the study of architecture during China’s Republican era, possessing significant historical, scientific, and artistic value.

Rock (August 1903 – November 1975), styled Zhenxi and also known as Lunxin, was a native of Dapeng Village, Shili Township. He was a General in the Nationalist Army.

After graduating from the Guangzhou Engineering School in 1922, he entered the Law Department of Guangzhou College of Law and Politics. In June 1924, he joined the first class of the Whampoa Military Academy. During his time at the academy, he participated in Sun Yat-sen’s military actions to disarm the Guangzhou Merchants’ Corps and suppress the rebellions of Yang Ximin and Liu Zhenhuan. After graduating in March 1925, he served as a probationary officer and platoon leader in the academy’s instructional regiment. He took part in the First and Second Eastern Expeditions to fight against Chen Jiongming.
