Tongzheng Stone Shovel Site
The Tongzheng Stone Shovel Site is a cultural tourism attraction.
The Tongzheng Stone Shovel Site is a district-level cultural relics protection unit, located 2 kilometers east of Zhongdong Street. It was discovered in 1960 and excavated in 1973, uncovering an area of approximately 50 square meters. Over 100 stone shovels were unearthed, more than 40 of which are relatively intact. All artifacts found within the cultural layer of the site are stone shovels—most are polished all over—and they are stacked in a rather orderly fashion: several are placed side by side with the blades facing upward, overlapped in layers, interspersed with small stone shovels or broken shovel fragments. None of the stone shovels show signs of use.
