Introduction: The Tianshengqiao Hydropower Station, a key national project, is located in Longlin Various Nationalities Autonomous County, Guangxi. Since the completion of the power station, a miraculous “plateau sky lake” where water meets the sky has emerged here. The vast and misty Tianshengqiao Sky Lake covers a total area of 178 square kilometers and holds a total water storage capacity of 10.8 billion cubic meters, equivalent to three Dianchi Lakes, ten Chengbi Lakes, and seventy-two West Lakes. It tightly connects the three provinces (regions) of Yunnan, Guizhou, and Guangxi. Along both shores of the lake lie the enchanting mountains and beautiful waters of the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau, as well as simple yet colorful local customs and traditions. Traveling upstream, you can reach famous scenic spots such as the Nanning River Gorge and Huangguoshu Waterfall in Guizhou, and the Stone Forest and Kunming World Expo Garden in Yunnan. Going downstream along the lake, you can connect seamlessly with Baise’s Chengbi Lake, Leye’s Dashiwei Tiankeng, and various major scenic areas in southeastern Guangxi, forming a unique tourism “Golden Triangle” among the three provinces (regions) of Yunnan, Guizhou, and Guangxi. Within the lake area, there are numerous isolated islands, scattered sailboats, swimming fish and shrimp, soaring gulls, and blooming lotus flowers. There is the high-faced rockfill dam, hailed as the “No.1 Dam in Asia,” the “best in the nation” artificial waterfall, the Jinzhongshan Primeval Forest — Guangxi’s largest diabase landform reserve — known as the “Waterforest Park”; the “Gate of Hell”-like Leigongtan, the exquisitely-formed site of the Tianshengqiao (Heavenly Bridge), and the Snow Lotus Cave rock formation, hailed by hydrogeological experts as the “world’s No.1 wonder.” Visitors can take speedboats for a “One-Day Tour of Three Provinces.” This place has now become a summer resort and tourist destination.
