Cold Water Waterfall

Introduction The Cold Water Waterfall, also known as the Divine Dragon Spouting Water, is located on Cold Water Mountain, 14 kilometers south of Longlin Zhuang Autonomous County. It originates from the underground river of Maidashan. This waterfall spans dozens of meters in width, over 100 meters in height, and has an average annual flow rate of 5.23 cubic meters per second. It splits into three streams: the left stream cascades straight down along the steep cliff with overwhelming momentum; the right stream gushes out from a high mountain cave and plunges onto the pool surface, creating swirling mist as water vapor rises; the middle stream surges downward several meters before taking a parabolic path down along a protruding cliff on the precipice. At the base of the mountain where the waterfall hits the pool, there is a small cave from which the waterfall can be viewed. From a distance, it resembles several white ribbons cast down from the heavens, connecting earth and sky. When sunlight strikes, it forms a dazzling rainbow of seven colors. Currently, four levels of hydroelectric power stations have been built between Maidashan and the Cold Water Pool, lighting up the mountainside and valley with countless lights at night.
