Yezhuling Scenic Area, also known as Bainiaoling (Hundred Birds Ridge), is located in Dasuijing Village, De'e Township, Dega Town, approximately 32 km from the county seat and 4 km from De'e Township. The Longlin–Xilin Secondary Highway runs through the scenic area, making it highly accessible. With an elevation of around 1,800 meters at its highest point, Yezhuling features uniquely spectacular mountain formations and is rich in both biodiversity and ethnic charm. The landscapes of the Yezhuling Scenic Tourism Area can be summarized as “Five Ridges and Eight Hundred Peaks.” The Five Ridges refer to Yezhuling, Huiyin Ridge, Baiya Ridge, Yanglu Ridge, and Houhan Ridge, each about 400–500 meters apart. The Eight Hundred Peaks are the majestic array of over 800 mountains visible from the summit of Yezhuling. These peaks appear rugged and dramatic up close, layered and undulating in the mid-range, and wave-like in the distance, creating a three-dimensional mountain vista. Moreover, each of the Five Ridges offers a distinct experience: sunrise viewing at Yezhuling; sunset watching at Yanglu Ridge; sea of clouds at Houhan Ridge; mirage-like "mountain market villages" (stunning Miao villages revealed before terraced mountain scenes) at Huiyin Ridge; and misty rain views at Baiya Ridge. This spatial arrangement creates complementary sightseeing perspectives, encapsulating the distinctive highland mountain scenery of Guangxi’s “Roof” — Longlin — within the concept of “Five Ridges and Eight Hundred Peaks.” Below Yezhuling lies Dasuijing Village’s Tiaopo Field, one of the three largest Tiaopo (traditional Miao dancing festival) grounds in the Dega Ethnic Culture Tourism Area. With nearly two hundred years of Miao Tiaopo history, it hosts a grand Tiaopo celebration on the 12th day of the first lunar month each year, attracting tens of thousands of youths from five surrounding townships and eighteen villages to gather at the foot of Yezhuling for singing and dancing. The vibrant scene is enlivened by colorful ethnic costumes, turning Yezhuling into a floral mountain of diversity. It has essentially become a sacred “pilgrimage” mountain for local people. Influenced by plateau climate, Yezhuling Scenic Tourism Area enjoys mild winters and cool summers, making it an ideal destination for summer retreats, vacations, leisure, entertainment, sightseeing, and hiking.
