Dahongbao Nature Reserve

Dahongbao Nature Reserve is located in Zhongyi Village, Yazha Town, and Fengren Village, Tianshengqiao Town, about 76 kilometers from the county seat. It lies to the north of the Nanpan River and consists of over 20 undulating, overlapping peaks, covering an area of 7,125 mu, with elevations ranging between 1,200 and 1,300 meters. The reserve boasts vast landscapes, towering ancient trees, sheer cliffs, jagged rocks, and abundant flowing springs, all set within a unique geographical environment. It is a pristine forest that preserves a typical evergreen broad-leaved mixed forest in a karst rocky mountain region, representing the limestone forests of Guangxi. The forest floor is thick with undergrowth and a rich diversity of wild medicinal plants. The national key project, the Tianshengqiao Hydropower Station, is built near the reserve, and the asphalt road connecting Tianshengqiao Town to Yazha Town runs along the edge of Dahongbao. Transportation is relatively convenient.
