Guigang East Lake

Guigang East Lake: Located east of Guigang City in Guangxi. Nestled by the river and adjacent to the city, the lake is shaped like a cow’s horn, spanning over a thousand acres of glistening water. It features lotus-covered surfaces, teeming fish and birds, swaying weeping willows, and graceful bamboo groves. Su Shi, a literary master of the Song Dynasty, once inscribed the name “East Lake” here, though the stone carving has since been lost. The lake is used for growing lotus and fish farming, and the lotus root grown here is especially famous for making premium lotus root starch. East Lake is now an aquaculture farm.
