Shima Mountain

Shima Mountain is located in Huilong Village, Tianping Town, Teng County, Guangxi, about 3 kilometers from the Nanning–Wuzhou Secondary Highway. It lies 15 kilometers from the county seat and 75 kilometers from downtown Wuzhou, and is named for rocks that resemble a large horse and a small horse.

At the foot of the mountain, there are several interesting caves formed by rock collapses. On either side of Shima Mountain are ancient hilltop fortresses said to have been built by descendants of Song Dynasty's Feng Jing to resist the Yuan invasion. These fortresses are perched in strategic, rugged locations.

Tianping Town: Tianping Town is located in the western part of Teng County, 75 kilometers from Wuzhou. It enjoys convenient water and land transportation. The Nanning–Wuzhou Secondary Highway passes through seven administrative villages in the area, and the Xun River flows past six of them.

Tianping Town is the hometown of Yuan Chonghuan, a patriotic general and Minister of War during the Ming Dynasty. The town boasts abundant tourism resources, including the Newma Banyan — a single banyan tree that has grown into a forest — the picturesque Shima Mountain Scenic Area and Luowan Mountain Scenic Area, the naturally cool Manshuang White Stone Cave, as well as Dashuishan Stone Cave, Damoling Hundred-Zhang Cliff, and Dayanshan Stone Figure.
