Days D1–D3: Copenhagen → Day D4: Odense → Day D5: Aarhus → Day D6: Depart from Billund. Denmark is compact, and intercity trains are punctual and comfortable, with most legs taking between 1.5 and 3 hours.
Take a train for about 1.5 hours to Odense. Visit the Hans Christian Andersen Museum and his childhood home. The half-timbered streets of the old town are full of fairy-tale charm. In the afternoon, head to Funen Village to experience traditional rural life. Overnight in Odense or travel on to Aarhus.
Aarhus is the cultural hub of Jutland: in the morning, walk the Rainbow Panorama skywalk at ARoS Art Museum for panoramic city views; in the afternoon, explore the Old Town Museum (Den Gamle By) and the Dokk1 Library in the harbor area; enjoy dinner in the Latin Quarter in the evening.
Head to Billund, the home of LEGO, and visit LEGOLAND or the LEGO House. Depart in the afternoon from Billund Airport. Alternatively, return to Copenhagen for your departure.
