After arriving at Murtala Muhammed International Airport, take a hotel transfer or ride-hailing service into the city. Stay in Victoria Island or Ikoyi, then stroll along the Lekki Beach Promenade in the evening. For nightlife, visit a live music bar to experience the vibrant scene of this major West African metropolis.
In the morning, visit the National Museum and Freedom Park to learn about Nigeria’s history and independence. Drive about three hours from Lagos to Osogbo to visit the UNESCO-listed Osun-Osogbo Sacred Grove. This site preserves the sacred beliefs of the Yoruba people, featuring dozens of shrines and attracting numerous devotees and tourists during the annual Osun-Osogbo Festival. Return to the city in the evening or stay overnight in Osogbo.
Fly to Abuja, then explore landmarks such as the National Mosque, National Christian Centre, and Millennium Park. Visit the Abuja Arts and Crafts Village and artisan workshops to shop for sculptures and textiles. The city has wide, well-planned roads; use ride-hailing services for getting around. End the day with a view of the city skyline.
